Developed by Arwind Gao, the sample illustrates how to pass data from one user control to another.  A user control can contain other controls like TextBoxes or Labels, These control are declared as protected members, We cannot get the use control from another one directly.

For detailed introduction of the sample, please read the documentation at http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/CSASPNETUserControlPassData-870745a0

Developed by Arwind Gao, the sample illustrates how to access user controls and web pages from class library via virtual path. Here we inherit VirtualPathProvider and VirtualFile class for creating a custom path provider, this virtual file system can provide a similar file path for accessing many files or code from different application, for example, we can put the same type of files (a.mp3, b.mp3) but in different assemblies (a.dll, b.dll) with a unite virtual path, like http://localhost/mp3/a.mp3 and http://localhost/mp3/b.mp3. In this way, our websites become more clearly and interactive.

Developed by Microsoft Support Escalation Engineer Jithesh Nair, this sample demonstrates how to retrieve the Volume GUID of the Cluster Disks.  You can use this project to programmatically retrieve the Volume GUID for the cluster disks, which can then be used with storage applications that requires Volume GUID as input for its operation.

[Sample of June 4th] Support multi-touch in WPF

[Sample of June 4th] Support multi-touch in WPF:

Sample Download: http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsdesktop/CSWPF3DMultiTouch-17e457ba
This sample demonstrates how to use WPF 4's multi-touch events to manipulate a 3D scene. It renders an earth. You can use your fingers to rotate the earth in any directions (not only along the latitudes and the longitudes). You can also use the standard scale (zoom) gesture to scale the earth. If you happen to touch a circle that represents a Windows Azure data center, a notification message will be displayed on the window.
If you don't have a touch screen, you can use the mouse to simulate the behavior. In the sample code, you will discover that to implement multi-touch is actually simpler than to implement mouse events, thanks to the manipulation framework provided by WPF.

For detailed introduction of the sample, please read the documentation at http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsdesktop/CSWPF3DMultiTouch-17e457ba

The operations includes
1. List subdirectories and files of a folder on the FTP server.
2. Delete a file or directory on the FTP server.
3. Upload a file to the FTP server.
4. Create a directory on the FTP server.

Developed by Ruiz Yi, the sample demonstrates how to list subdirectories and files of a folder on a FTP server and download all of them.
The operations includes
1.  List subdirectories and files of a folder on the FTP server.
When set the Method property of an FtpWebRequest to  WebRequestMethods.Ftp.ListDirectoryDetails(the FTP LIST protocol method to get a detailed listing of the files on an FTP server), the response of server will contain many records of information, and each record represents a file or a directory.   Depended on the FTP Directory Listing Style of the server, the record is like
   1. MSDOS
      1.1. Directory
           12-13-10  12:41PM  <DIR>  Folder A
      1.2. File
           12-13-10  12:41PM  [Size] File B

NOTE: The date segment is like "12-13-10" instead of "12-13-2010" if Four-digit years is not checked in IIS or other FTP servers..

   2. UNIX
      2.1. Directory
           drwxrwxrwx 1 owner group 0 Dec 1 12:00 Folder A
      2.2. File
-rwxrwxrwx 1 owner group [Size] Dec 1 12:00 File B

NOTE: The date segment does not contain year.
2. Download a file on the FTP server.
To download a file, create a FtpWebRequest and set the Method property to  WebRequestMethods.Ftp.DownloadFile.
